Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about mobile auto repair, booking, pricing and our service area.
General
A mobile mechanic travels to your vehicle instead of you bringing it to a workshop. We bring professional tools and diagnostic equipment to your home, workplace or another safe location and carry out the work there.
Service area
We serve the Austin Metro Area. Use the ZIP code checker to see whether your location is on our listed coverage. If it isn't listed, contact us — we may still be able to help.
No garage is needed. We need a safe, reasonably level spot with room to work around the vehicle — a driveway, parking space or office car park is usually fine. Please check that your property, HOA or building allows vehicle maintenance on site.
No. Many common jobs can be completed on-site, but work that needs a vehicle lift, specialist equipment or major disassembly may need a workshop. We'll tell you before starting if that's the case.
Diagnostics
Yes. We read the stored fault codes and data, then carry out targeted tests to find the cause. We'll explain how urgent the problem is and what the repair options are. See check engine light diagnosis.
Booking
Use our online booking form or call us. Tell us about your vehicle, the problem, your location and a preferred time window.
Your request is pending until we confirm it. We'll review your details and contact you to confirm availability, the location and next steps. You'll receive a booking reference straight away.
We usually need someone present at the start to hand over keys and discuss the problem, and at the end to review the work. Let us know in your booking notes if this is difficult.
Pricing
Pricing depends on your vehicle, the fault, the parts needed, your location and the scope of work. After diagnosis we explain the options and costs, and no additional work goes ahead without your approval.
No payment is taken through the website. Payment arrangements are confirmed directly with you.
